Man arrested and road closed after serious crash

Police have arrested a man following a serious road crash near Stonehouse.

Emergency services were called to the B4008 Gloucester Road in Standish, Gloucestershire, shortly before 13:00 BST.

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the crash, police said.

Gloucestershire Police said a section of the road - stretching from the junction for the Javelin Park site to Horsemarling Lane - would be closed for a number of hours.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
