The Rookery Tavern in Wolverhampton was targeted by vandals before its demolition

Plans have been approved to build apartment on the site of a former pub.

The Rookery Tavern in Lanesfield, Wolverhampton, closed 10 years ago and had been targeted by arson attacks and vandalism before its demolition in 2022.

Twenty-four homes are set to be built along with parking.

Redeveloping the land would address anti-social behaviour issues and improve public amenity, according to planning officers at City of Wolverhampton Council.
