A provisional trial date has been set for a man accused of murdering a 79-year-old man in Leeds.

Thomas Childe, 23, is accused of killing Colin Starbuck, who died after being found seriously injured near a bus stop on Aberford Road in Garforth on 29 October.

Childe of no fixed address did not enter a plea during the brief hearing at Leeds Crown Court.

Remanding him into custody, Judge Tom Bayliss KC said he would next appear at court on 3 December and set a provisional trial date for 21 April.
