Four schools have closed and dozens of properties are without water due to a burst pipe.

Warden Hill Primary School, Bettridge School, Dean Close School, and Cheltenham Bournside School, all based in Cheltenham, have shut on Wednesday.

The schools said it was because of a burst water pipe in the GL51 area, which means the buildings have no water supply.

A Severn Trent spokesperson posted online: "We're really sorry if you're still experiencing no supply, poor pressure or discoloured water due to the burst water pipe in the area. Our teams are working hard to get your water flowing again but have found the repair to be a lot more complex than first anticipated."

Dean Close School said the site is shut for seniors, but remains open for boarders who are moving to an unaffected part of the site.
