A man who was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on a village road has died three days later.

Northamptonshire Police said the man died on Wednesday after the incident on Ecton Lane in Sywell, at about 17:45 BST on Sunday.

The man, in his 50s, was driving a silver Skoda Octavia towards the village centre when the crash happened, and he was taken to University Hospital Coventry.

The force has appealed for anyone who may have dashcam footage of the car or any other information to get in touch.
