Two men to face rapper shooting retrial
Family photoTwo men accused of murdering a rapper in a car park are set to face a retrial.
Tamba Momodu, 20, who performed under the name Teerose, died after being shot near a gym in Telford, Shropshire, in 2020.
Jurors sitting in Loughborough last month were unable to reach verdicts on Mahamud Tarabi, 32, of Whiteleys Parade in Hillingdon, London, and Ahmed Karshe, 30, of no fixed address.
The retrial will be the third time the case has been in court, after a jury was discharged in the first trial in January 2025. A date and location are yet to be fixed.
Two other men Deria Hassan, 32, of Ferrymead Avenue in Greenford, London, and Merje Ngoy, 24, of no fixed address, were cleared of murder in March, but Hassan is due to be sentenced on 7 May after admitting a charge of arson.
Ngoy was cleared of the charge of arson.
