Arrest after two men stabbed in town

Two men have been injured, one seriously, in a double stabbing in Long Eaton.

Derbyshire Police said it was called to Lynden Avenue at 08:50 GMT on Monday and found both men with stab wounds. One was taken to hospital, while the other suffered only minor injuries.

The force said a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of affray and remained in custody.

The men are known to each other and there is no wider risk to the public, officers added.
