Speed limit changes to improve safety

Speed limits on several roads are changing in a bid to make people feel safer, encourage active travel, and improve safety for those travelling to and from school, a government says.

The changes in Jersey will see speed limit signs updated in St Ouen from Monday.

It follows a review by the Roads Committee and a public consultation.

The Government of Jersey said notable changes included La Route de Vinchelez and Le Chemin du Moulin, and four roads in total would have speed limits reduced from 40mph (64km/h) to 30mph (48km/h), with 21 roads reduced to a 20mph (32km/h) limit.
