Free GP appointments extended to full-time students

Free GP appointments for children have been extended to full-time students in Jersey.

An amendment to extend the scheme of providing free GP appointments to children to full-time students, including those at university in the UK or abroad, was approved by the States Assembly.

The government will now provide an additional £75,000 to the scheme from its Government Plan.

A total of 24 members voted for, 20 against, and there were no abstentions.
