The rescue operation was successful

A dog has been rescued after it was found trapped under an ice rink.

The dog was pulled from under Worthing Ice Rink in Steyne Gardens by firefighters at lunchtime on Saturday.

"Upon arrival, crews found a dog trapped under the ice rink," a spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said.

"Firefighters rescued the dog and safely reunited her with her owner."

They added the rescue operation took nearly one hour.
