The RSPCA would like to speak to this man after receiving footage appearing to show a ferret being repeatedly harmed

The RSPCA has shared images of a man it wishes to identify as part of inquiries into footage that "appears to show a ferret being repeatedly hit, bitten and harmed through rough handling".

The animal welfare charity said its investigation focused on footage that had been given to it.

Rescue officer Freya Lamb said the charity was not sure where the video was taken but from the information available so far, it believed the location may be in Evesham, Worcestershire.

"We're very keen to find out more about this incident and check on the welfare of the ferret involved," she said.

She added: "We'd like to speak to the man pictured as we believe he may hold vital information which would support our inquiries."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RSPCA's Inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018, quoting reference number 01720902.
