Police are investigating the robbery of an e-bike in which a man was reportedly robbed and threatened with a firearm inside a summer house.

Nottinghamshire Police said two intruders wearing balaclavas broke into the garden of a property in Closes Side Lane, East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, at about 02:35 GMT on Tuesday.

A man, who was sleeping inside the summer house, was woken up and threatened before his electric bike was stolen and the intruders fled the scene.

Officers added the man was unharmed, and suspect the firearm was believed to have been a BB gun or air pistol.

Det Sgt Sarah Gregg said: "This will have no doubt been a very frightening experience for the victim, so we're determined to get him some answers.

"We're still at the very early stages of our investigation, so would ask anyone who has any information about what happened to please share it with us immediately.

"That could be anything they've seen, anything they've heard, or anything they may have inadvertently recorded on their CCTV or doorbell cameras."
