Road to Straw Bear Festival closed due to flooding
GoogleOne of the main roads to the Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival has been closed to due risk of flooding.
Drivers are being encouraged to avoid North Bank, between Peterborough and Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire, ahead of the market town's popular celebration.
The road between Northey Road (Bedford Cottages) and North Side (Dog in a Doublet) will be shut until further notice. Drivers are being asked to use the A605 from Whittlesey or the A47 from the Thorney direction.
The Environment Agency issued the flood warning due to the high river levels.
