Man taken to hospital after being hit by police car

A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital after being hit by a marked police car in Dumbarton on Saturday night.

The incident happened on Glasgow Road at about 20:00.

Police closed the road between Bruce Street and Eastfield Crescent but reopened it at about 23:50.

The pedestrian was later discharged from hospital. Police said inquiries were ongoing.
