Third of critical response targets narrowly missed
BBCJersey's ambulance service narrowly missed its seven-minute average response-time target for the most serious category 1 calls on eight occasions between September 2023 and August 2025.
Category 1 incidents cover life-threatening emergencies requiring immediate intervention and carry a target average response of seven minutes.
Data published after a written question from Deputy Jonathan Renouf show that in the months where the target was missed, crews took an average of seven minutes and 34 seconds to arrive.
Responses to category 2 - potentially serious conditions that may require rapid assessment and urgent on-scene intervention and/or urgent transport - met the target of 18 minutes.
Targets for category 3 and 4 - two hours and three hours respectively - were also met.
