Corfe Castle served as a dramatic backdrop for a film festival as hundreds watched a family favourite movie.

Paddington in Peru was shown on Saturday night as part of the Purbeck Film Festival, one of the longest running rural film festivals in the UK.

Filmgoers picnicked under the stars in front of the castle ruins, which are maintained by the National Trust.

First held in 1996, the festival aims to bring a variety of cinematic experiences to Purbeck, and it continues with Wicked, which will be shown at Knoll House in Studland on Friday.
