A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital following a two-vehicle crash in County Tyrone.

He was driving a car which was in collision with a lorry on Annaghilla Road, Augher, shortly before 08:10 GMT on Wednesday.

The lorry driver is not believed to have sustained serious injuries, according to the police.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said it dispatched one emergency ambulance and the charity air ambulance to the incident.

NIAS added that one patient was flown to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast by air ambulance while another was taken to Craigavon Area Hospital by ambulance.

Police have appealed to witnesses or anyone with footage of the crash to contact them.

The road was closed for a number of hours but has since re-opened.
