A £30m expansion of a kitchen and toilet roll manufacturer in Wolverhampton has been completed.

Family-run Task Consumer Products, one of the largest independent paper converters in the country, has grown its operations on an 18-acre site at Citygate Park on Stafford Road.

Announcing the production and storage expansion of its headquarters in January 2024, the firm said it estimated that it would create 50 new jobs.

Developer Stoford Properties Ltd said it had been "a significant development of a challenging site, parts of which were historically used for landfill".

The firm was established in 2007 and in 2024 was included in the Sunday Times list as one of the UK's top 100 fastest-growing private firms.

Councillor Chris Burden, from City of Wolverhampton Council, said: "This expansion is providing better futures for local people by safeguarding jobs and creating new jobs.

"It demonstrates a huge commitment by Task to Wolverhampton and is characteristic of the innovation and growth taking place in our city.

"Furthermore, it brings disused brownfield land back into use – helping support our move towards a sustainable economy."
