PC to appear in court charged with sexual assault

A West Yorkshire Police officer is due to appear in court charged with sexual assault.

PC Mark Kitchingman, 34, has been charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a female over the age of 16.

The force said he was due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on 10 February.

A spokesperson said the officer, who was based in the Kirklees district, was currently suspended from duty.
