A climber had to be rescued following a "significant" fall in the Peak District.

Edale Mountain Rescue Team said it was called to Stoney Middleton in Derbyshire at 15:44 BST on Sunday.

The climber injured their back and was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew, the team said.

The patient was then placed on to a stretcher and carried to a waiting ambulance before being taken to hospital.
