Man charged with murder after woman found dead

A man has been charged with murder after a woman died in Oldbury, in the West Midlands.

Emergency services were called to a house on Barncroft Road at about 02:30 GMT on Sunday, where a 24-year-old woman was confirmed dead at the scene.

Benjamin Day, 19, from Redditch, has been charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
