Edinburgh's Hogmanay returns in a blaze of light and colour

Edinburgh's Hogmanay has made a spectacular return, a year after "extreme weather" forced the cancellation of the world famous celebration.

An estimated 50,000 people gathered in the city to enjoy the street party and concert as well as the dazzling firework display above the castle.
