A nail bar sustained major damage when a car crashed through its front window.

Police said a Ford Kuga hit the front of Coco Beach Nail Bar in Middleton Boulevard, Nottingham, at about 04:40 GMT on Saturday.

The frontage and interior of the shop was damaged in the crash, officers said.

Nathan Thiongo, 33, of Earls Close, Bilborough, was charged with dangerous driving, criminal damage, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, and failing to stop. He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court later.
