Police hunt man following Grantown-on-Spey assault

Police have issued a description of a man they want to trace in connection with a serious assault in Grantown-on-Spey.

A 36-year-old man required treatment following the incident at about 14:35 on Tuesday in the town's Burnfield Avenue.

Officers are trying to trace a man seen heading on foot in the direction of The Square on Grantown High Street.

He has been described as about 6ft (1.8m) tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a black jacket, black tracksuit bottoms with a white line down the side and a black baseball cap.

Anyone with information has been asked to get in touch with Police Scotland.

Local residents have also been urged to check any CCTV or dashcam footage available for anything which could assist the investigation.
