Man charged with attempted murder after a stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a suspected stabbing in Dorset.

Dorset Police were called to reports of a man being attacked at a property in Stourcastle, Sturminster Newton, at 16:54 BST on 30 September, although his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Police said a 20-year-old man had been charged with attempted murder and assault by beating and was expected to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court in November.

An 18-year-old man, from Sturminster Newton, arrested on suspicion of murder and a 53-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder have been released on bail.
