The four-vehicle crash took place on the B4425 in Gloucestershire

A woman has pleaded guilty to multiple driving offences after causing the death of two people in a crash.

Taxi driver Octavian Codreanu and his passenger Moyra Whelan, 35, were killed and three others were seriously injured in the four-vehicle crash on the B4425 near Aldsworth in Gloucestershire on 2 December 2022.

Liberty Mitchell, 21 and from Chipping Norton, has now admitted two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving in relation to the collision.

Gloucestershire Police said Mitchell was bailed and has since been handed an interim disqualification from driving ahead of sentencing on 13 February.

Mitchell, who was 18 at the time of offences, also pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by driving whilst uninsured.

Codreanu, who died at the scene, had been driving Whelan to a wedding at the time of the crash.

Described as "straight talking, fun-loving friend to many", Whelan, who worked as a school teacher and lived in London, later died in hospital.
