A fourth person has been arrested as part of an investigation into reports of child sexual abuse at children's care homes in Bradford.

A 76-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault in Baildon on Wednesday and remains in police custody, West Yorkshire Police said.

The investigation involves eight victims who said they suffered cruelty and sexual abuse when they were aged between five and 17 and housed in local authority children's care homes in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

An 83-year-old woman and two men, aged 83 and 86, who were previously arrested in connection with the investigation remain on bail while inquiries continue, police said.
