Two men have been banned from attending football matches after their "appalling behaviour" following a National League match.

Samuel Enderbury, 26, and Daniel Wyatt, 36, both pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour following a fixture between Kidderminster Harriers and Macclesfield Town on 6 September.

Enderbury threw a can of beer at a group of away fans in an attempt to provoke disorder, police said, while Wyatt acted in a "threatening and aggressive manner".

The pair were banned at Worcester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday from matches for four years, with Enderbury fined £160 and Wyatt £40.

West Mercia Police said Wyatt also made threats of violence towards officers trying to maintain order between groups of supporters.

PC Ryan Bridgewood, who was on duty at the time, said he was pleased by the ban, following "their appalling behaviour".

"Their actions were designed solely to provoke the away fans into disorder and caused fear and intimidation among those supporters who had just come along to enjoy a Saturday afternoon game, and they threatened police officers with violence too," he said.

Enderbury, of Redwing Court, Kidderminster, and Wyatt, of Severn Grove in the town, were both ordered to pay £85 costs.
