The Gainsborough pub in Sudbury has been temporarily shut following the closure notice

A pub has been given a 24-hour closure notice after police carried out a drugs warrant and made arrests.

Officers carried out the warrant earlier at the Gainsborough Pub in Sudbury, Suffolk.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and weapon offences and both remain in custody.

In a statement on social media the pub apologised to customers for "any inconvenience" and said it hoped to be back open soon.
