Cyclist dies after lorry crash on A144

A cyclist has died following a collision with a lorry on an A-road.

Suffolk Police said it was called at 05:18 GMT by the ambulance service to reports of a collision on the A144 in Ilketshall St John, near Bungay.

The cyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for about nine hours and reopened at 14:32, the force added.

Anyone who witnessed the incident was asked to contact the police quoting reference 37/7316/26.
