A care worker has been given a 12 month community order for ill treatment and neglect against a 15-year-old boy in his care in Stroud in February 2023.

Paul Adebisi, 45, was sentenced on 20 March at Gloucester Crown Court.

The teenage victim has learning disabilities and is almost entirely non-verbal, the court heard that Adebisi had worked with the victim for a year before the incident.

CCTV from the victim's bedroom showed a reflection of Adebisi striking the victim at least twice.
