Man arrested over suspected city centre assault
Oli Constable/BBCA man has been arrested following a reported assault on another man in Doncaster city centre.
The 53-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm after an "altercation" on Hall Gate at about 21:40 GMT on Friday and he remained in custody, according to South Yorkshire Police.
Officers said they were "growing concerned" for the welfare of the victim of the suspected assault, who had left the scene.
They said the man was white with black hair and was wearing glasses, a black North Face coat and white Nike trainers. Anyone who had witnessed the incident, or knew the victim, was asked to get in touch with police.
