Three men arrested on suspicion of murder
GoogleThree men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 36-year-old man died following a "physical altercation".
Gwent Police said the men, aged 18, 19 and 51, were arrested following an incident in Tredegar town centre, Blaenau Gwent, between 22:00 GMT on Friday and 02:00 on Saturday.
The family of the victim is being supported by specialist officers. The three men remain in police custody.
"We are in the early stages of this investigation and I offer my thoughts to the family of the victim," said Det Ch Insp Robin Fuller.
"Our officers remain in the Tredegar area as they continue to gather evidence and if you have any questions or information, then please do speak to them," he added.
Fuller said officers were particularly interested in speaking to anyone in the area of Castle Street, opposite the Castle Hotel and Jem's jewellery shop, between 01:00 and 02:00 on Saturday.
