Police have renewed calls for witnesses to an incident which occurred on Saturday afternoon

Police have renewed an appeal for anyone with information about a stabbing close to a Tesco on the Isle of Man to come forward.

Two people were arrested after a man was attacked near the supermarket in Ramsey on Saturday afternoon, leaving him hospitalised.

Isle of Man Constabulary later confirmed his injuries were not life-threatening and are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

The two suspects, who were later arrested on a bus from Ramsey to Laxey, have been released on bail while inquiries continue.

"We are particularly asking for any passengers who travelled on the Route 3 bus that departed Ramsey at 15:10 GMT, heading toward Laxey, to contact Douglas police headquarters," a force spokesman said.

"We would like to thank the members of the public who have already come forward.

"If you were on this bus or have information and have not yet spoken with officers, please get in touch."

The stabbing resulted in the Tesco store and car park closing for the rest of Saturday, reopening as normal on Sunday.

Police previously said footage circulating on social media "may cause concern" but wanted to "take the opportunity to thank passengers for their cooperation in allowing officers to safely work".
