Two men arrested as car 'deliberately' hit house
GoogleTwo men have been arrested after a car was "deliberately driven into a house" several times, according to police.
They said the pair - aged 29 and 33 - from Crewe were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage with intent to endanger life.
The incident took place at about 23:45 GMT on 24 December on Hulme Square, Middlewich in Cheshire.
A white Kia Sportage had deliberately hit the front of a house several times, officers said.
"Thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries, however, the outcome could have been far worse, said Det Insp Stephen Hill.
"The collision caused substantial damage to the property, and several nearby residents had their Christmas festivities disrupted after being evacuated from their homes while emergency services dealt with the incident.
"Enquiries in relation to the matter are ongoing, and at this stage we believe that this was a targeted attack," he said.
The 33-year-old man was arrested on Friday and has since been released on conditional bail.
The 29-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday and remained in custody.
Anyone with any information was asked to contact Cheshire Police.
