Godiva Festival is looking for volunteers to support its crew at this year's event

Volunteers are being sought to help out at this year’s Godiva Festival.

Music lovers have been urged to apply to support the crew at the Coventry event, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

The roles include supporting outdoor street shows, liaising with artists backstage, accompanying street performers and supporting crafts activities.

Events firm EnV, which is working in partnership with the festival, said volunteers would be offered a range of incentives.

These include a free Godiva Festival volunteer t-shirt, complimentary lunch vouchers and a complimentary festival ticket for a friend or family member.

The event at War Memorial Park from 5-7 July will be headlined by Paloma Faith, Richard Ashcroft and Beverley Knight.

Other acts booked include Sam Ryder, Lady Leshurr, The Primitives and Holy Goof, with Coventry City Council's Abdul Salam Khan saying there was "something for everyone".

"Whether it’s our drum and bass artists on Friday night or family activities on Sunday afternoon, the diversity of our festival caters for our city," he said.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the event can apply on EnV’s website.
