The Birmingham crew bumped into Lewis Capaldi ahead of his second show in the city

A team of firefighters took a few seconds away from their life-saving duties to have a picture taken with Lewis Capaldi.

The crew from Highgate Fire Station in Birmingham bumped into the Scottish singer ahead of his second performance at the city's Utilita Arena on Wednesday.

Posting the picture on social media, West Midlands Fire Service encouraged anyone attending the show to enjoy it but to stay safe travelling to and from the venue.

Capaldi's current tour marked his first run of shows since he took time away from performing and recording to deal with his mental health.

The 28-year-old Someone You Loved singer made his surprise but heavily rumoured return at Glastonbury Festival in June.

He recently announced a further UK and Ireland tour in 2026, describing it as the biggest he has ever done.
