Appeal after man found seriously injured

Police have appealed for information after a man was found seriously injured in Eckington.

Officers were called to Elm Road at about 18:40 GMT on Saturday where they found a 25-year-old man with facial injuries thought to have been sustained during an assault.

He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Derbyshire Police said they were keen to speak to the drivers of two blue cars seen leaving the area that are described as being similar to an MG ZS and a BMW X3.
