Man appears in court on terrorism charges
PA MediaA man has appeared at the Old Bailey charged with terrorism offences.
Mikka Lee Anderson, of Morpeth Street, Hull, was arrested on 26 February in an operation by Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) North East and Humberside Police.
The prosecution alleges the 23-year-old planned to attack a hotel in the city.
In addition to the alleged attack, he was charged with possession of articles for a terrorist purpose, two counts of possessing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism and having an article with a blade in a public place.
No pleas were entered at the hearing and he was remanded in custody.
A provisional trial date was set for 10 November at Newcastle Crown Court.
