Highland Council exploring pub opening times for World Cup
PA MediaHighland Council says it is considering special licenses for pubs during Scotland's football World Cup campaign next summer.
The men's team will play their group C games in Boston and Miami, with their opening match against Haiti kicking off at 02:00 BST.
Highland licensing board currently allows pubs to open between 11:00 and 01:00, with extensions until 03:00 from Thursdays to Saturdays under certain conditions.
Highland Council said a decision would be issued in due course.
Scotland qualified for the World Cup with a 4-2 win over Denmark at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
