M1 reopens after multi-vehicle crash and fire

A section of the M1 has been reopened following a multi-vehicle crash and fire.

National Highways said the southbound carriageway was shut at about 11:20 GMT between junction 15 for Northampton and Roade and junction 14 for Milton Keynes but reopened at about 14:30.

Emergency services and traffic officers had been called to the scene.

National Highways had reported heavy traffic in the area, which is now easing.
