A man has died in a crash with a lorry on the A17 near Boston.

It happened near the junction of Stump Cross Lane, Swineshead, at about 04:30 GMT.

Lincolnshire Police said a grey Ford Kuga car and a blue HGV were involved and a white HGV hit the debris.

The 36-year-old driver of the car died at the scene and his family has been informed.

Both lanes between the Stump Cross Lane junction and Bicker Bar roundabout to Swineshead Bridge have been closed and people should avoid the area until it is cleared at about 17:00.

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact the force.
