Plea for Sleeping Beauty prince and princess
Alex StylesA final appeal has been made for applications to fill the roles of the young prince and princess in a theatre's production of the pantomime Sleeping Beauty.
Wolverhampton Grand Theatre said it was looking for children aged, or looking, seven and 14, adding no previous experience was necessary, but "you must have a strong passion for musical theatre".
People are asked to send in a video by Monday to [email protected], with no more than one verse and a chorus of a song.
The theatre said that since taking the step to produce the annual pantomime in-house, the venue was expanding its commitment to finding and using local talent.
Auditions will be held in Wolverhampton during the week of October half term.
Successful applicants are to be invited to a workshop-style audition.
Children must be available for a range of shows between 29 November and 4 January.
The theatre said youngsters would gain new skills, explore creativity and get to learn what it was like to perform in a professional production.
It added it was committed to inclusive casting and strongly encouraged "actors of all ethnicities, races, and backgrounds to apply".
