Driver found dead after car hits railway bridge
GooglePolice are investigating a fatal crash after a car hit a railway bridge in Leicestershire.
Officers were called to a stretch of the B6047 near Market Harborough – close to the junctions with The Langtons and the A6 – just after 04:50 GMT.
A silver Ford Focus had struck the bridge and the driver, a man in his 40s, who was the sole occupant, was found to be deceased.
Officers have appealed for any witnesses, especially anyone with dashcam footage of the car, to get in touch.
A road closure was put in place to allow police to carry out their investigation but it has since reopened.
The rail network was not affected.
