An 18-year-old man has been arrested after a car struck three pedestrians in Cardiff on Saturday.

He was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and causing serious injury by dangerous driving after police were called to Heol Trelai, Caerau, at about 00:30 BST.

One pedestrian was left with serious injuries and remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition, said South Wales Police.

The 18-year-old remains in police custody, the force added.
