Grants for projects helping children and young people's mental health are available from a Jersey charity.

Applications for Kezia's Fund have been opened by Jersey Community Foundation (JCF) to help schemes and activities including preventative and early intervention work run by organisations and other charities.

JCF said grants from the fund - set up in memory of Kezia Mason who took her own life in 2022 when she was 14 - were normally worth between £5,000 and £20,000, but smaller and larger sums would be considered.

Anna Terry, JCF's chief executive, said the charity wanted to "strongly encourage" organisations to consider applying before the closing date of 29 March.

"We know that young people's mental health continues to be a priority across the island," Terry said.

"Kezia's Fund exists to support practical, community-based solutions and, importantly, to give young people a voice in shaping the support that's available to them."
