Watchdog referral after police car and bike collide
BBCA police force has referred itself to the watchdog after one of its cars collided with a cyclist.
Northamptonshire Police said it happened on Gipsy Lane, Irchester, at about 19:30 GMT on Wednesday.
The cyclist was taken to University Hospital Coventry with injuries described as "non-life-changing or threatening".
The force said it had voluntarily referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct "in line with standard protocol when police vehicles are involved in collisions".
Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and may have dashcam footage.
