Traffic approaching Eurotunnel cleared on M20
Andrew Marshall/BBCAbout two miles (3.2km) of congestion has cleared on the M20 approaching the Eurotunnel after drivers were told they would face delays of about 90 minutes.
National Highways said traffic began to build at about 09:00 BST on Friday and the coast-bound junction 11 entry slip near Hythe had been closed to help ease congestion.
Shortly after 15:00 National Highways said delays had cleared and the entry slip was due to reopen.
Kent Police had sent a unit to the area to help manage traffic and Operation Brock was due to be in place until after the bank holidays.
Operation Brock involves setting up a contraflow system on the M20 coast-bound, between junctions eight and nine, so that one side of the carriageway can become a giant lorry park if there are problems at the Port of Dover or Eurotunnel.
Kent and Medway Resilience Forum said the barrier was planned to be removed overnight on 7 April, with the motorway reopening as normal on 8 April.
