Deputy Jonathan Le Tocq is charged with creating indecent images of children

The case against former Guernsey Chief Minister Jonathan Le Tocq has been sent to the Royal Court.

In August, Deputy Le Tocq faced eight charges at Guernsey's Magistrate's Court, including creating indecent images of children in Categories A, B and C; possessing extreme pornography and offences relating to the misuse of telecommunications. He has not yet entered pleas.

Le Tocq resigned from Guernsey's most senior political committee - Policy and Resources - in September just days before the States had been due to vote on revoking his membership.

A plea and directions hearing is scheduled for 4 December and Le Tocq has been re-remanded into custody.
