Two teenage girls have been arrested in connection with an attack on two other teens outside a youth club.

The girls suffered bruising, concussion and one was left with a fractured wrist following an incident outside the youth club in South Gloucestershire on the evening of 31 March.

Footage of the incident was also filmed by a crowd of youths and shared online.

Avon and Somerset Police said the suspects have now been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

The force previously said investigators are keeping an "open mind" as to whether the attack is linked to a similar incident on 4 March where a girl was assaulted in Cabot's Circus in the city centre.

Neighbourhood Insp Barny Mabbett said: "We are reviewing CCTV and other footage, as well as taking various statements, as part of those enquiries."
